History of the American Flag
Attention
Grand Knights....
Are you looking for a program for your
Council’s social Meeting? If so, how about the History of our Country’s flag?
That’s right, Old Glory!
Our flag, the symbol of our national unity,
tells us of the struggle for independence, of a union preserved, of the
sacrifices of brave men and women to whom the ideals and honor of this nation
have been dearer than life.
If your Council would like to see and hear the
rest of the story, call PFN Walter Skinner at 516-796-6965, to make arrangements
for “The History of Our Flag Presentation.” You can also make arrangements
through your council’s Fourth Degree Chairman.
Fight Freedom of Choice ACT (FOCA) Abortion Bill
FOCA Would Wipe Away Every Restriction on Abortion Nationwide
This would eradicate state and federal laws that the majority of Americans support, such as:
Bans on Partial Birth Abortion
Requirements that women be given information about the risks of getting an abortion
Only licensed physicians can perform abortions
Parents must be informed and give consent to their minor daughter's abortion.
FOCA would erase these laws and prevent states from enacting similar protective measures in the future.

Fight Reproductive Health and Privacy Protection (RHAPP) Abortion Bill
Stop New York State's Extreme Abortion Proposal. Click the image to sign the

RHAPP could force these extreme results:
Catholic hospitals and
other religious facilities in New York State could lose their license to
operate if they did not provide abortions.
Force all insurance plans, including those of
Catholic employers, to cover abortion.
Legalize
abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, for virtually any reason.
Make abortion immune from any reasonable state regulation
such as parental notification or informed consent.
Repeal current law that requires licensed doctors to perform abortions
and allow any "health care practitioner" to provide it.
Allow late-term abortions to be performed in clinics that do not
offer the full complement of support facilities necessary to assist
women and any child born alive during an abortion.
RESPECT LIFE
These
embryonic human beings are alive, now, and involved in a terrible dilemma
utterly beyond their control. They are human, innocent and helpless, and
therefore deserving of love and the protection of the state. They are dependent
on civilization but civilization is perhaps is even more dependent on them, as
we consider their fate. In considering their fate, we are determining our own.
Perhaps this is the real precipice on which we stand: the notion (again) that
certain human beings can be considered so insignificant as to be unworthy of
love and protection solely on the basis of their size and stage of development.
That we are even considering this question of human medical experimentation is
already the result of the disastrous turn we took with Roe v Wade, the ruling
that a developing (but fully human) child's life was less important than a
woman’s convenience or difficult circumstances, circumstances that could vastly
improved with simple love and acceptance, offered and received with good outcome
for all, including the child. The question at stake...strike at the very
foundation of civilized society. The choice is between justice and truth, where
love and civility are safe to flourish, or a descent into chaos, barbarism,
anarchy, tyranny and death.
…Did you know that life begins at the moment of
conception?
…Did you know that a human embryo is not
“potential life” it is “human life that has potential”
There is room for everyone in the pro-life
movement.
No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
